The opening date for the National Music Centre in the East Village has been revealed.
Studio Bell will open its doors to the public on Canada Day, July 1, with free admission for the day.
A striking gold-clad development that stretches across two blocks in Calgary’s East Village will be the new home of the National Music Centre, as well as offering event space for meetings and conferences in one of the city’s most popular neighbourhoods.
The venue will be able to host groups of 150-300. Its largest space will be its 300-seat auditorium, which will have numerous reception areas for use as breakout space, while a selection of boardrooms are also available for smaller meetings.
In addition, the venue will include a year-round exhibition that will be home to a variety of historic musical instruments, artifacts and artist memorabilia to celebrate Canada’s musical heritage.
After the grand opening, admission will be $18 for adults and $11 for kids.
