Turkish army Kills 200 Syrian Kurdish Militants in Airstrikes

Turkish jets carried out 26 airstrikes on 18 Syrian Kurdish YPG militant targets in northern Syria and killed 200 militants, said the Turkish army in a statement on Thursday.

The PYD representative called the move an effort by Ankara to stop consolidation of Kurdish political and territorial influence in Afrin canton in northern Syria and a reaction to a breakdown in political and diplomatic relations in neighboring Iraq over the presence of its troops in the north of that country.
