Stephanie Arndt : Woman, Arabian horse live together in farmhouse

Doctor Stephanie Arndt brought her horse Nasar into the house when Hurricane Xaver battered her town of Holt, Germany in late 2013. But the three-year-old Arabian horse has taken a liking to the indoors — you could say he’s made himself right at home.

Photographer Carsten Rehder visited the farmhouse in Holt on Monday and captured some images of the unusual resident.

Stephanie Arndt, a physician in the Schleswig-Holstein region of northern Germany, says the horse enjoys trotting around the kitchen and hanging out in the living room of her old farmhouse.

It’s not at all clear how the new arrangement affects housekeeping.
