Snowplow kills pregnant NY woman : baby lives

A trip to the grocery store at the height of Thursday’s snowstorm turned tragic for one family.

Police say 36-year-old Min Lin of Brooklyn, who was nine months pregnant, was killed by a privately operated snow plow in Borough Park.

Police say 36-year-old Min Lin was loading groceries into her car at the Fei Long Market on 8th Avenue in Bay Ridge when she was struck by a plow-equipped Bobcat clearing snow.

The Bobcat, operated by a 42-year-old man, was going in reverse at the time of the accident. The plow is not owned by the city, cops say, but privately owned.

The driver of the plow stayed at the scene.

Lin was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center and her child was delivered by emergency c-section.

Lin later died from her injuries. The infant remains in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
