X Factor boss : Simon Cowell to welcome baby in NYC

Media mogul Simon Cowell plans to create a space in his house where he can puff on cigarettes without harming his new born baby.

The 54-year old ‘X Factor’ boss, who is expecting a child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, reveals that he tried switching from tobacco to electronic cigarettes but to his disappointment, they did not seem to be useful, reported People magazine.

Chatting with reporters in the US this week (via People), expectant father Simon said: “I was just texting with Louis Tomlinson last night because his mum is pregnant and is going to have the baby the same time as Lauren.

“So it’s like, who is going to go first? I think I am going to win.”

Simon also admitted that while plenty of things will have to change when Baby Cowell arrives, he won’t be giving up his cigarettes anytime soon.

“There are a lot of boring things that happen when you have a baby. [You have to get rid of] sharp edges, cigarettes, alcohol … then there’s [baby-proofing] the toilet. But I’ll have a smoking room!”

Hmm, we wonder what Lauren will have to say about that!

Simon did admit on America’s Arsenio Hall Show recently that he would try to quit for the sake of his unborn child.
