The South Korean electronics giant will unveil a new Gear S smartwatch at the IFA 2016.
A fresh report from SamMobile claims the third generation watch will be unveiled at Berlin’s IFA 2016 tradeshow at the beginning of September.
With the Note 7 confirmed to launch at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event on August 2, filling the gap a month later with a major launch would make sense.
The outlet also claims that the Gear S3 will retain the rotary bezel featured on its predecessor, once again setting it apart from non-rotational devices like the Apple Watch. With this feature being offered again, it’s also a pretty safe bet the watch will again be a round-faced design.
Last year, Sammy teased the Gear S2’s arrival after announcing the Note 5 – meaning we could see something fresh next week if the trend continues.
