New Moto Phones Could Be Announced June 9, Report

The much anticipated fourth generation Moto G series will reportedly be unveiled in June, a report from China said.

Lenovo’s CEO Yang Yuanqing, during the launch of the ZUK Z2 Pro smartphone, revealed that the company will unveil the new Moto phone, understood to be the Moto G (4th gen) series, on June 9, GizChina reported.

According to rumours, there could be two variants of the fourth generation Moto G, one being the standard version and the other a Plus version. The main difference between the two is said to be the fingerprint sensor which will be included on the latter. Similar to last year’s Moto G variants, the other differentiating factors could be the amount of RAM, internal storage and 4G support.

Earlier this year, Lenovo announced its plans to reorganize its smartphone division, and use the Moto brand for its mid-range and premium lineup. The upcoming Moto G will be one of the first smartphones from the company as part of this strategy, and we will hopefully know more about its plans at the event.
