Microsoft launches Windows 10 smartphones in UAE as it targets business users

Microsoft Gulf announces Windows 10 coming soon to Dubai with Surface Pro 4, Lumia 950 and 950 XL releases.

Designed to offer users the best of Windows 10 combined with powerful and performance driven technology, the new devices include innovative features including fast and secure login with Windows Hello1; improved touch and pen experiences on Surface; and Continuum for phones, which enables the new Lumia 950 and 950 XL phones to work like PCs, said a statement.

Mohammed Arif, Windows Business Group lead, said: “With our bold ambition of creating more personal computing and empowering individuals to do more, we are taking innovation to the next level and building upon the unique experiences of Windows 10 for our users.”

Surface Pro 4 brings together the performance of a laptop and the full power of Windows 10 with the portability of a tablet giving users the ability to achieve greater mobility and productivity.

“We designed Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL for people who want the most productive smartphones running the most productive operating system. People like mobile professionals who want a premium phone that can work like a PC; now have the perfect partner for their Windows 10 devices in Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. In UAE, customers can purchase Lumia devices across all stores, starting at an estimated retail price of Dh2,099 ($571) for Lumia 950; and Dh2,349 for 950 XL.

The accessories such as the Microsoft Display Dock can be availed at a special launch price of Dh99, and the Continuum Accessory Pack at Dh499.

Surface Pro 4 and new accessories are available for order for commercial customers only through Alpha Data and Sharaf DG as well as other Microsoft’s authorized resellers. – TradeArabia News Service
