Marriage Proposal at 34000 Feet : Pilot shocks flight attendant girlfriend with adorable mid-air proposal

Proposal at 34,000 feet? Eric Greener, 30, proposed to Brandy Hollenbeck, 34, on a morning flight from Seattle to Juneau, surprising Hollenbeck and delighting passengers and the rest of the crew.

According to Jennifer Sovey of Alaska Airlines’ official website, flight attendant Brandy Hollenbeck was working a flight from Seattle, Washington, to Juneau, Alaska, on March 18 when she heard a voice come over the loud speaker.

The voice began telling the story of how Hollenbeck met her boyfriend, but the attendant was working and kept serving coffee to the passengers. The other attendants also on the flight kept her occupied, including her friend RieAnn Fullwood, who told Sovey, “We tried to keep her busy in the back of the plane during boarding so she wouldn’t see (her boyfriend) Eric board.”

Hollenbeck’s fiancée is Ravn Alaska pilot Eric Greener. He boarded the plane without his soon-to-be-wife seeing him and commandeered the PA system midflight. He told about how his mother met a girl on an Alaska flight and said she was perfect for her son.

When asked what she was thinking when someone on the PA system was telling her story, Hollenbeck told Sovey, “At one point I thought, ‘Someone up there is telling my love story!’ But I just kept serving coffee.”

After talking about how they met and fell in love, it was finally time for Greener to formally propose.

Greener appeared from the cockpit and Hollenbeck accepted the marriage proposal, with the two sharing an embrace in the aisle as the entire plane began to cheer and clap. Many passengers were even moved to tears at the beautiful moment.
