Members of the Manitoba Association of Health Care Professionals will begin holding information pickets this week in Winnipeg and northern Manitoba.

The union said their bargaining committee is negotiating with province this week and has set a tentative deadline of January 31.

The first session will be at Cancer Care Manitoba and the just outside the Health Sciences Centre at 11:00 a.m. Monday.

The Strike Readiness Committee is also considering information pickets in Seven Oaks, Thompson and Brandon.

Members voted 88% in favour of a strike mandate last fall.
