LG Has No Plans To Bring LG V10 To Canada, Report

If you are in Canada and are waiting for LG to launch its recently unveiled V10 smartphone in the country, there is some bad news: the South Korean company has effectively revealed that the handset won’t be launched there.

LG recommends instead, that Canadian smartphone buyers turn to the LG G4. LG released the statement in response to an inquiry about when the phone would be available in Canada.

The LG V10 features a 5.7-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. Above the display is a second 2.1-inch screen used for notifications, time, date and weather. With the resolution of the extra screen at 160 x 1040, both the main screen and the secondary one each have a pixel density of 513ppi. A Snapdragon 808 chipset is under the hood, carrying a hexa-core 1.8GHz CPU and the Adreno 418 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 64GB of internal memory. A 2TB capacity microSD slot is available for those who need more storage. The rear-facing 16MP camera includes OIS, and there is a dual camera set up in the front with one lens taking wide-angle selfies. A 3000mAh replaceable battery keeps the lights on, and Android 5.1.1 is pre-installed.

“Unfortunately, there aren’t any plans to bring the V10 to Canada. We encourage you to check out some of other amazing phones, like our flagship LG G4.”-LG statement

LG hasn’t given an explanation why it isn’t taking the LG V10’s talents north of the border. As the manufacturer says, Canadians who must have a high-end LG handset can go with the LG G4 instead.
