Jamie Lynn France, a former Oregon beauty pageant winner has been arrested for drug possession.
The department said her arrest shows the terrible long-term effects that drug use can have.
Detectives arrested Jamie Lynn France, 23, after finding her at a Salem hotel while serving a search warrant for a man at the center of a methamphetamine distribution investigation.
She was booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility on possession of meth, heroin and buprenorphine (three total charges), with a $30,000 bail.
A former student at Redmond High School, France was crowned Miss Teen Oregon-World in 2009.
Sergeant Bob Trump said the department hopes drug arrests like France’s can serve as an example “of the terrible long-term affects to the user, their families and our communities.”
France was cited for driving under the influence in January after a head-on crash with another intoxicated driver on Highway 26.
