Sabina Altynbekova Shunned For Being ‘Too Pretty’ (Video)

Sabina Altynbekova is the volleyball player for the Kazakhstan Under-19 team that has caught the attention of the sports world.

The 18-year-old has apparently been receiving so much attention for her good looks that her teammates are upset.

“Fans just stare at her and they are not following the championship any more,” reported Vesti.

“It is impossible to work like this,” coach Nulran Sadikov added to Tengrin News.

“The crowd behaves like there is only one player at the championship.”

Her Facebook account garnered over 54,000 likes after pictures of her emerged.

Sabina is also an active social media user. She has a Twitter account and posts photos of herself with friends and family. She shared that she still does not know how to handle the attention that others are giving to her. She simply aims to improve her game and hopefully get to have more time playing than sitting on the bench

Sadikov said in an article by Bleacher Report, “It is impossible to work like this. The crowd behaves like there is only one player at the championship.”

Sabina initially appreciated the extra attention fans gave to her but realized that matters were becoming uncontrollable. She said, “I was flattered at first but it’s all getting a little bit much. I want to concentrate on playing volleyball and to be famous for that, not anything else.”
