Toronto driver charged in fatal Rosedale crash

Charges have been laid in a deadly crash in Rosedale last week.

Police were called out to a single vehicle crash in the Mount Pleasant Road and Roxborough Drive area just before 2:30 a.m.

It’s alleged the driver of a 2004 Mazda was travelling at a high rate of speed, when he lost control and plowed into a lamp post.

The driver and two passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries; another passenger suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, 24 year old Warren Ferns has been charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death.

The name of the deceased has not been released by police.
