Three injured on flight landing at Edmonton International Airport

Three people were injured after an Air Canada plane experienced a problem on a runway yesterday afternoon.

The Air Canada Jazz flight departed Calgary and was bound for Grande Prairie when it was forced to make an emergency landing in Edmonton around 8:36 p.m, Central time.

The Jazz Dash 8-400 blew a tire upon take-off and strong winds also contributed to the decision to make an emergency landing.

CTV News in Edmonton confirms that three passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Air Canada confirms there were 71 passengers and 4 crew members on board at the time.

The Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
