One Man dead in industrial accident in Vaughan

One male has been declared dead after an industrial accident in Vaughan, York Regional police say.

The incident happened on Doney Crescent in the Keele Street and Highway 7 area.

Police said they arrived to find a man crushed between two transport trucks with very serious injuries. Responding officers tried to save his life, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said they believe the victim was a 51-year-old Markham man, who was the driver of a transport truck. He may have been crushed during loading.

York Regional Police and the Ministry of Labour are investigating the accident.
