Mom of three kids killed in Vaughan crash puts out Christmas card in their honour

The Neville-Lake family will be spending Christmas without their three children for the first time this year but will nonetheless have a lasting memory with Santa Claus.

The Neville-Lake children’s uncle had a photograph taken of Santa Claus holding a portrait of the Neville-Lake children and their grandfather.

Jennifer Neville-Lake’s card has been shared more than 2,200 times on Facebook since it was posted Sunday morning.

“This Sunday afternoon you can: Go to the park. Read a book. Play a board game. Help someone. Play dress up. Bake. Spend time with your loved ones. Please DON’T drink and drive! Love Harry, Milly and Daniel.”

Neville-Lake’s three children, Daniel, 9, Harrison, 5, and 2-year-old Milly, along with her father, Gary Neville, died in a Sept. 27 car crash. Her mother and grandmother were also injured.

The family was driving together when their minivan collided with an SUV driven by Marco Muzzo, 29, at the intersection of Kirby Rd. and Kipling Ave.

Muzzo faces a number of impaired-driving charges.

Since the accident, she has urged the federal government to create stiffer penalties for drunk driving.
