An arrest has been made in connection with the death of a Surrey teen.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says the identification of the accused can’t be released due to a publication ban.
The young girl was reported missing by her mother last Tuesday, her body was found hours later by a search and rescue team near a set of railroad tracks, only eight blocks away from the Surrey RCMP detachment.
Police had called it a random crime of opportunity.
Her death has sparked a recent outcry from people in the community regarding safety in the area, given the nature of her death.
