Donors Rally to Save Cat Found Bound in Tape (Video)

Thousands of dollars in donations are pouring in to save this cat and it’s all thanks to an online campaign.

The black and white cat was rescued last week and is being taken care of by the Regina Humane Society in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Because of the blood loss to Bruce’s paws from the tape, the cat had eight of his toes removed. On Monday, the Regina Humane Society posted on Facebook that they were hopeful the cat will be able to keep all four of his legs. However, the risk of infection still remains.

“The pain and suffering he has endured is unimaginable” Senior Animal Protection Officer B. Lerat said in a statement, according to ABC News.

Bruce Almighty reportedly collapsed into the arms of his rescuers and purred as they removed the tape from his legs. Lisa Koch, executive director of the Regina Humane Society, said the rescue officers were amazed that the cat was able to survive with his injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the cat or this incident is asked to contact the RHS.
