400-pound running back, Meet Tony Picard, the next ‘big’ thing

Tony Picard is a 6’4″, 400-pound high school running back and nose tackle (duh). I don’t blame you if that seems a bit Sidd Finch-ish to you. Picard looks photoshopped. But there are multiple photos. And a video that was uploaded this morning. (Below) Picard, who is part Umatilla-Nez Perce Indian and part Sioux Indian, attends White Swan High School in Washington’s Yakima Count.

Picard, a senior at White Swan High School, is tearing up the local loop by attracting as many as five defenders when the ball is in his (presumably massive) hands.

“Most teams will sacrifice five guys to stop him: four linemen and a middle linebacker,” Picard’s coach at White Swan, Andrew Bush, said in an Indian Country Today article about the phenom.

“That leaves three guys on each side to stop the rest of our team. Everything else opens up: our outside running, our play action, and our entire passing game. We average about 450 yards as a team offensively.”

The YouTube video below, posted Saturday, already has an astounding 1.2 million views.
