Singer Leonard Cohen died after fall, manager says

Singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen died in his sleep after falling down in the middle of the night, his manager said.

Robert B Kory says Cohen died on November 7th, three days before it was publicly announced.

The statement says that the death was “sudden, unexpected and peaceful”, the New York Times reports.

The Canadian singer-songwriter & poet behind songs such as Hallelujah and Suzanne was 82.

He died only weeks after the release of his critically-acclaimed album You Want It Darker.

Cohen was buried in Montreal on November 10th.

Paying tribute to Cohen, singer-songwriter Nick Cave wrote: “For many of us Leonard Cohen was the greatest songwriter of them all. Utterly unique and impossible to imitate.”
