Montreal taxi driver killed in Ahuntsic crash

A 19-year-old man is facing a charge of dangerous driving causing death after a crash killed a Montreal taxi driver early Wednesday morning in Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

According to police, a taxi was heading westbound on Crémazie Boulevard when it was hit by another vehicle traveling north on Saint Hubert Street.

Witnesses told police the second vehicle was speeding before the crash.

The 25-year-old taxi driver was pronounced dead on scene.

Three people inside the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The 19-year-old man is facing charges of dangerous driving causing death.

The intersection of Crémazie and Saint-Hubert is closed while accident experts continue their investigation.
