Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Swift Break Up After Three Months

Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift have called it quits after only 3 months of dating.

The couple, often referred to as “Hiddleswift”, began dating in June, prompting widespread interest from the media. The split was reportedly “amicable”, according to US Weekly, which suggests that media attention may have contributed to the break-up.

It adds that Swift was uncomfortable with public displays of affection, but Hiddleston “didn’t listen to her concerns”. Despite the two seeming very affectionate in public – they were photographed canoodling on beaches and Hiddleston even sported an “I Heart Taylor Swift” t-shirt – some speculated that the relationship was just a publicity stunt.

They were last reported to have spent time together in mid-August after Swift sent her plane to pick Hiddleston up from Australia where he was filming the latest Thor movie.

Whatever the true nature of their relationship or the real cause of the split, the news has prompted an immediate response on Twitter.
