Time Magazine names Drake, Lilly Singh among 30 most influential people online: Report

TIME magazine unveiled its second annual “30 Most Influential People on the Internet” list on Wednesday, with choices ranging from household names like Kim Kardashian and Donald Trump to figures like YouTube star PewDiePie and the teenagers behind the viral clip “Damn, Daniel!”

Toronto rapper Drake gets a nod for his “Hotline Bling” video that featured goofy dance moves that launched scores of parodies.

Indo-Canadian vlogger Lilly Singh – a.k.a. Superwoman – is the other Canuck on the list.

West has made waves in the past year in his frequent Twitter rants, which included comments about Amber Rose and Bill Cosby, his revelation that he’s $53 million in debt and the release of his latest album “The Life of Pablo” exclusively through the streaming service Tidal. With more than 120 million followers across social media, Kardashian West recently made Internet buzz by posting nude selfies.

Trump earned his spot for the countless infamous tweets he has sent before and during his run as a GOP candidate. Incidents like calling Megyn Kelly a “bimbo,” referring to Marco Rubio as “Little Marco” and constantly calling out anyone who calls him out helped Trump top the list. He also has the most Twitter followers of any presidential candidate.

It took Jenner only four hours to gain 1 million Twitter followers after creating an account last year, which set a better pace than President Barack Obama.

The other men and women included are Joy Cho, James Corden, Laci Green, Josh Holz and Daniel Lara, DJ Khaled, Johnetta Elzie and DeRay Mckesson, J.K. Rowling, Lele Pons, Cristiano Ronaldo, Essena O’Neill, Narendra Modi, Elise Andrew, Ken M., Matt Drudge, Angie Nwandu, Andrew Bachelor, Kayla Itsines, Peter Bouckaert, the Fat Jew, Tess Holliday and Helen Van Winkle.
