Spiders On Bananas : Woman Finds Deadly, Erection-Inducing Creature In Her Bananas

Spiders On Bananas? A bite from one these spiders will give you an erection for four hours and possibly kill you.

“I just found this on a banana my husband bought from Tesco,” Maria Layton, 43, posted on Tesco’s Facebook.

Layton is a mom of two. She was opening the fruit for her 6-year-old, according to the Telegraph. Turns out, the fruit, which was shipped from Costa Rica, is infested with Brazilian wandering spiders, according to the Telegraph.

Layton became increasingly concerned, the Telegraph reports, as the eggs started to hatch.

The Brazilian wandering spider is also called the banana spider, according to Live Science. Its bite is deadly to humans, especially children. In fact, the spider is one of the most venomous on Earth.
Oddly, the spider’s venom, which can kill a human in two hours, can give male bite victims four-hour erections, the Telegraph reports.

Tesco is investigating and has communicated with Layton, who was worried about whether spiders hadn’t gotten loose in her home.
