A pregnant Salisbury woman who was missing for nearly a week was found on Monday in Boone, according to officials from multiple agencies.
According to police reports, the woman used an ATM card Monday at a CVS in Boone. Officials found her at a gas station a short time later. At approximately 1:00 p.m. Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Captain Redmond, spotted a champagne-colored Mazda van with a Kansas license plate on NC-105. The vehicle went into the Wilco Convenience store on NC-105., near Homespun Hills.
Captain Redmond pulled near the vehicle, and a female exited the vehicle and said “I am Carrie.” The woman was identified by the Sheriff’s Office as Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther and was transported to the Watauga Medical Center for evaluation.
With assistance from the Boone Police and the Watauga Medical Center Police, her immediate family has been notified, along with the Salisbury Police.
