A burning orange Lamborghini stopped traffic on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, just north of Squamish, B.C. on Saturday night.

Shortly after 4:00 pm on Saturday, an exotic sports car was spotted in flames near the “Big Orange Bridge” in Squamish.

Emergency crews were able to attend to the incident quickly, but the aftermath did lead to two hours of traffic delays for drivers in both directions as southbound traffic was diverted into the northbound lane as reported by Drive BC.

A clip of the Lamborghini in flames was shared on Instagram by user gregsenko.

In a later post, the same Instagram user indicates the vehicle is a part of an exotic fleet a tour company offers to rent out on the Sea to Sky. The license plate is further evidence.

According to a report, the driver was fortunately able to escape without harm. The rain also helped tame the fire, although it ultimately didn’t save the vehicle as you can see in the fourth photo above.
