Miranda Lambert has has to cancel her concert at the Calgary Stampede because she’s suffering from vocal cord issues.

The “Little Red Wagon” singer was scheduled to perform at the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on Thursday (July 9); however, according to a statement posted on the Calgary Stampede’s Facebook page, she is canceling the show due to “serious inflammation of her vocal cords.”

“I’m so sorry that I can’t be at Stampede this week,” Lambert says in the statement, “but I’ll be back in Calgary just as soon as I can for all of my Stampede fans.”

In a statement on her website, Lambert adds, “I can’t believe this is happening … Thanks for all your posts and well wishes. I promise I will do everything to get better quickly!”

Fans with tickets for Lambert’s show are being instructed to keep their tickets, as the show will be rescheduled; more details will be announced on the Calgary Stampede’s website as they become available.

“We understand that this news is disappointing for fans,” says Paul Rosenberg, chief operating officer of the Calgary Stampede. “We will know more about rescheduling the concert later.”

Lambert’s husband, Blake Shelton, is scheduled to perform at the Calgary Stampede on Friday (July 10). According to her website, Lambert’s last show was on July 3, and her next concert is scheduled for July 17.

Once the country star wraps up her Platinum Tour, Lambert will be embarking on her all-female Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour, which will begin in the fall.

“I really support female artists in any genre, especially country music right now,” she says. “I’ve taken girls on tour for a long time, and I want to continue to do that because I feel like I can give them a platform.”
