It’s been several weeks since Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis took home the Dancing With The Stars trophy. But we still can’t stop wondering whether the former dance partners are a couple in real life. Chmerkovskiy only added fuel to these dating rumors when he admitted that he “loves” the Olympic ice dancer.

In an Instagram photo, the DWTS hunk is shown wearing a black suit and a tie while holding Meryl’s waist, who is also in a matching black terno. The photo was captioned, “All is right in the world again! Got my long awaited hug!”

Their on-and-off screen chemistry leaves fans wondering if there is more to the constant hugs and kisses. Though Maks did not confirm or deny anything, he told Us Weekly, “I love her. I love her! I love her as a person and for what she has allowed me to do with our choreography and how much she’s embraced it. She’s a brilliant person, and she’s also very normal. I enjoyed my time with her. It was sad when the season was over.”

Few days after DWTS Season 18 finals, Meryl and Maks met with some of the contestants and production crew at a victory party.

An anonymous source told Us Magazine that Maks only had eyes for the 27-year-old figure skater.

“She’s precious, and he’s gentle with her because he wants to see her shine and he won’t want to hurt her. He’s willing to calm down for her because she’s the last person he wants to see cry and the last person he wants to hurt,” younger brother Val Chmerkovskiy said over a chat with Us Weekly.
