Melissa Gilbert opens up about Tom Cruise romance (Video)

Melissa Gilbert got candid on Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night.

The Little House on the Prairie star didn’t hesitate to kiss and tell – even decades later. Gilbert opened up to host Andy Cohen about when she used to date then-struggling actor Tom Cruise.

“It was when he first moved to Los Angeles and I think I was 16, maybe, or 17,” she said.
“Watch What Happens” host Andy Cohen interjected to note that when Cher had been on his show, she said Cruise was one of the “best lovers she’s ever had.” He then asked her if she had ever been intimate with the actor.

“I did not have sex with him,” Gilbert said. “We made out. But honestly there was no sex.”
Gilbert did say that the movie star was a good kisser, and recalled that they were in different places in their career when they were dating.

“He was a struggling starving actor, and I was working. I actually bought him his first set of dishes,” she added.

Gilbert didn’t hold back when asked about “Prairie” co-star Shannen Doherty during a game called “Melissa Spill-bert.” Cohen asked about a story from her 2010 memoir “Prairie Tales,” in which she divulged that the “Charmed” star had a one-night stand with her first husband, Bo Brinkman.
When asked what she’d do if she ever ran into Doherty, Gilbert said, “I wouldn’t say anything, I’d just punch her in the nose.”
