Mayim Bialik : Big Bang Theory actress writes touching post following her father’s death

BIG Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik has opened up about her “profound mourning” following the death of her father.

The Big Bang Theory star, 39, shared the sad news on her Kveller.com blog on Tuesday (21Apr15), explaining he died during Passover earlier this month (Apr15).

She wrote, “For those of you who have lost a parent, you know how I feel. You tell me you do. For those of you who have lost someone else you were close to, you also tell me you know how I feel. But you don’t. Because you’re not me losing my Abba.”

Bialik’s dad died after a two-month hospice stay, and she added, “I appreciate condolences and care and love, but I am alone in the singularity of my loss. Jewish mourning is profound and I am deep in it.”
