A lamb born without fleece on an English farm has been adorned with a man-made coat to keep him warm.

Nicknamed Skippy because “he looks like a kangaroo,” the little lamb was abandoned by his mother and is now reportedly being hand-reared by farm hand Sally-Ann Fisher, who describes him as a “freak of nature.”

According to BBC, Fisher wasn’t even aware that the lamb pattern baldness was due to a health problem at first.

Hannah Park, from the National Sheep Association, confirmed that the condition was “not common.”

Thankfully, the lamb wasn’t born in winter, but that doesn’t mean his condition doesn’t cause him to get chilly sometimes.

Thankfully, Skippy’s owners had a crafty solution to his sheer bad luck.

“We’ve made a little jacket for him to wear out of an old jumper to keep him warm at night,” explained Fisher. “He’s just unlucky, but he’s doing great.”
