Kyle Laderoot Busted At Prom Wearing Stolen Tux

A Prescott Valley, Ariz. teenager was arrested last week on suspicion of stealing a tuxedo to wear to prom, police said.

Kyle Terry Laderoot, 18, was arrested at his prom in Jerome, Ariz.

Kyle Laderoot is suspected of breaking a window at the Elegant Brides store in Prescott Valley and stealing the $600 tuxedo.

On Tuesday prosecutors declined to file charges, instead giving the case to Prescott Valley police for further investigation.

Prescott Valley police Sgt. Brandon Bonney said the store owner accompanied Jerome police to the prom and identified the tuxedo by color, style and its designer label.

Kyle Laderoot said Wednesday he’s no tuxedo thief.

He said he bought the tux for $100 at a yard sale.
