Jessica Simpson: Singer Accused of Being Drunk When Selling Her Fashion Collection on HSN “Video”

Jessica Simpson sources have insisted the star wasn’t drunk during an appearance on the Home Shopping Network, after her segment caused concern on Twitter.

Following the bizarre appearance on the US netowrk, TMZ have reported that the These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ singer was “not drunk” during her appearance on the show.

Apparently, Jessica was just “being herself” during the broadcast and the network expected their to be a “few hiccups” on the show during the two-hour segment because it was live.

Jessica hit headlines yesterday after she giggled and stumbled her way through her appearance, and confused viewers when she kept wandering offscreen unannounced before suddenly reappearing.

The former reality TV star – who was last pictured falling out of a club in June – was also unable to answer any of the questions she was asked.

Her mum Tina even had to make an unscheduled appearance, which many of the audience believed to be in order to save her daughter.

The mum-of-two’s appearance did not go down well with Home Shopping Network viewers who took to the channel’s website to give their opinions on Jessica.

One said: “I knew Jessica Simpson sold her line on HSN and she is on now but I now know why she is never on..She is horrible, she is talking constantly over Colleen (Lopez) and her mother isnt much better (sic)”.

Another viewer wrote: “About 3 minutes into my watching, I came here on this board to see if anyone had noticed what I was seeing: Jessica seemed to have difficulty balancing, speaking, describing her clothes, etc.”
