Actor Jean Paul Manoux, one of the stars of the CTV sitcom Spun Out, turned himself in to Toronto Police Tuesday afternoon after being charged with voyeurism.
According to police, officers were called to the building on Queen Street West, near Dufferin Street, after the women, aged 25 and 27, discovered two hidden cameras and video equipment connected to the Internet in the condo unit they were renting.
The unit has been rented out in the past, and police believe there may be more victims.
On Tuesday, a suspect was charged in connection with the case.
Jean Paul Manoux, of Los Angeles, is charged with voyeurism.
He is scheduled to appear in court March 11.
Manoux has appeared in numerous television shows, including “Spun Out” which airs on CTV.
In a statement released Tuesday night, CTV communications vice-president Scott Henderson said the network was “shocked” to learn of Manoux’s arrest.
“The charges against (Manoux) are serious allegations,” it reads. “CTV will work with ‘Spun Out’ producers Project 10 Productions to assist the Toronto Police Service in any way possible in their investigation.”
All future broadcast plans for the show have been indefinitely suspended, the statement adds.
