Hero cat : Dog that attacked boy was euthanized

The dog that was videotaped attacking four-year-old Jeremy Triantafilo but was chased away by Tara the hero cat, has been euthanized 10 days after the incident, May 24.

According to people at the Bakersfield animal shelter where Scrappy was held, he continued to exhibit aggressive behavior during his stay, and even tried to bite employees according to TMZ.

Jeremy’s mom Erica told the TODAY Show after the attack that “The animal can be rehabilitated by the family possibly but from what I understand, that’s a long and difficult procedure to get the dog back in their (the owner’s) custody. Otherwise it will be put to sleep, unfortunately.”
For Scrappy, he met the latter fate.
