A mother was overwhelmed with emotion on the Today show this morning as she saw the results of her daughter’s dramatic weight loss transformation for the first time.
“Coming from 343 pounds I feel like a whole new woman,” Daly, a mom of three, said before walking on set and surprising her own mother. “I hope that through my own weight-loss journey, my boys are young enough to reap the benefits of having two active parents in their life and learn how to live with a healthy lifestyle.”
Daly then debuted her new figure in a black-and-white dress.
“Wow,” Lowe said as she embraced her daughter. “You need to talk to me so I recognize you.”
“Hi, mommy,” Daly said. “My mom — I just wanted her to have this gift and I’m just so happy that I could share it with her.”
“I love my daughter very much,” Lowe responded. “I’m so happy for you.”
“Today” later gifted the women a shopping spree at Macy’s to build a brand new wardrobe for their smaller sizes.
