Cara Delevingne: Actress Slams Richard Madden For Calling Her “Unprofessional”

Cara Delevingne has responded angrily to comments made by Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden where he called her “unprofessional”.

Cara Delevingne has responded to Richard Madden’s claims that the way she acted during an infamously awkward interview was “unprofessional”, by saying it was “a little desperate” of him to “bad-mouth” someone he doesn’t know.

Madden, 29, who played Robb Stark in Game of Thrones and recently starred as the male lead in a Disney Cinderella remake told the Sunday Times Style magazine that he believed the 23-year-old actress “showed her age” during the interview.

“It was unprofessional. It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For Cinderella, I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions. If you’re not capable of doing that gracefully then don’t do it,” he said.

Following Madden’s comments, Delevingne tweeted that she was unaware of who the Scottish actor was and accused him of attention-seeking, writing: “If you really want attention that badly, try focusing on your own work and not other people’s.”

The interview in question happened in July when Delevingne was promoting her new film, Paper Towns when anchors from the regional US daytime show Good Day Sacramento accused her of being “moody” before cutting the interview short and advising her to “take a nap and get a Red Bull”.

Delevingne addressed the viral video on Twitter and said: “Some people just don’t understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour.”

At the time some of her fellow professionals defended Delevingne. Scrubs actor Zach Braff said it was “condescending” for the journalists to have asked whether the actress had in fact read the book the movie was based on, written by John Green – who also added that the question was “annoying”.
