Six months after rapper Big Sean and “Glee” star Naya Rivera announced their engagement, the couple has called off the wedding. A rep for Big Sean confirmed the announcement yesterday.
“After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off,” a spokesperson for the 26-year-old rapper said in a statement to People magazine on Wednesday, April 9.
“The recent rumors and accusations reported by so-called or fake sources are simply untrue,” the statement continued. “Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.”
Rivera, 27, has not commented on the announcement and her spokesperson had no immediate comment when asked by OTRC.com about Big Sean’s statement. It is unclear if the couple has officially called it quits.
The actress and Big Sean, whose real name is Sean Anderson, confirmed their engagement in October. Rivera sported a large diamond ring on her ring finger as she attended Latina magazine’s “Hollywood Hot List” event in Los Angeles on October 3.
