Arrest made in Abby Hernandez case : Police

An arrest was made Monday in the disappearance of New Hampshire teen Abigail Hernandez who had been missing for nine months before her return home last week, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said.

Nathaniel Kibby, 34, of Gorham, N.H. has been charged with one count of felony kidnapping for confining Hernandez on Oct. 9 in Conway, N.H.

Neighbors say Kibby had a bunker or shed attached to his house.

“The way he built this shed. Just the way he talks. He don’t talk like a normal person. He talks like a terrorist,” Vern Whitehouse, a neighbor, said.

The arrest was made at around noon on Monday without incident.

Kibby will be arraigned on Tuesday in Conway District Court, there is expected to be a police news conference after.
