Amber Portwood Engaged : Teen Mom Star to Marry Boyfriend Matt Baier

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has revealed that she’s engaged to boyfriend Matt Baier.

News of the engagement kind of broke in a weird way, with Amber keeping the engagement pretty quiet since Matt popped the question back in November. It might be because the upcoming Teen Mom show teaser shows him asking her, but doesn’t show her answer, so she might not have been allowed to say anything.

Turns out, the show is actually the very reason Amber finally spoke out about the engagement, because people were saying that it was just for the cameras. On Monday, Amber finally confirmed to MTV News that she and Matt were, in fact, engaged, saying, “We are very happy…I’ve never felt this way about somebody else in my life.”

As for the allegations that it was a made-for-TV engagement, Amber says, “I don’t stage things for [the cameras], I live my life. MTV follows me – I don’t follow them. Everything that is seen on Teen Mom OG is our lives, and this is the way it is. We’ve never tried to do anything to please others. It’s our lives to help others – it’s not just for TV.”
