Alyssa Milano Shut Down Wendy Williams On Talk Show “Video”

Alyssa Milano shut down Wendy Williams on a visit to her talk show during a hot debate about breastfeeding.

In the interview, Williams brought up the topic after Alyssa posted a photo of her breastfeeding her 16-month old daughter, Elizabella, on her Instagram account. Milano has posted many breastfeeding photos over the last year, but this one drew a lot of attention after she captioned the photo “#NormalizeBreastfeeding,”.

Alyssa Milano says that she was surprised by the fact that she’s been thrust into the spotlight as a breastfeeding advocate. “I was surprised that I was put in this position of being a breastfeeding advocate, which I love and I take that job with a lot of responsibility,” Milano told Williams.

After Milano admitted that she was confused by people being so opinionated about something that is “supposed to be natural,” Williams countered by saying, “I’m opinionated,”.

She went on to say, “I don’t need to see that. I just don’t want to.” She continued by saying that she would take her baby to the car to eat.

Alyssa Milano countered her with a question, “Why is it okay to share that photo of Miley Cyrus with two suspenders over her breasts?”.

Williams admitted that she feels like breasts are more sexual than a feeding thing for her, though she couldn’t say why she felt that way.

“Breastfeeding is only a certain amount of time, the rest of your life they are sexual things,” Williams continued.

Alyssa Milano disagreed and said that biologically breasts were created to provide nourishment for babies and that we as society has “sexualized” breasts. Milano continued by teasing Williams that she was “lucky the baby isn’t here. I’d whip them out right here and feed her on the show,”.
