Alex and Sierra return home (VIDEO)

Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton, winners of Fox’s “The X-Factor” returned home to Orlando on Sunday as they were greeted by family, friends and fans in the airport.

“This is so overwhelming. This is really, really cool, it’s incredible. I never expected this to happen,” the pair told FOX 35.

Fans like Destiny Corfee got to the airport hours before Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton touched down, just hoping for a glimpse of her new idols.

“I’ve been watching the X Factor and I’ve been rooting for them and voting for them and I just can’t believe they won and I really want to meet them.”

Kinsey and Deaton have been singing together and dating for two years now, with an undeniable chemistry in the eyes of judges and fans.

“I saw their talent and I could not believe how amazing they were so being able to know that they’re from my home town, that’s awesome,” Corfee said.

And it was their relationship Deaton credits with the win. She told FOX 35, “Going through a process like X Factor which is just a pressure cooker of intensity, it only helped us being together.”

“We’re doing something that we love, and it’s been a blast. It’s really been a whirlwind and overwhelming and it’s perfect,” Kinsey finished.

One of Sierra’s biggest fans, her father, John Deaton, said although he always knew his daughter could be a star, actually seeing it happen is another story.

“She’s still my daughter, and I think of her as my little baby. And then to see all these people cheering and clapping, that’s when it really hits me that she’s really famous. And to see all the love and affection people have for her is just incredible to me,” he added.

The pair said they plan to enjoy the holidays and spend lots of time with family for the next few weeks before heading back to Los Angeles to begin working on their record.
