Leopard’s head stuck in a pot while drinking water, Rescued After 6 Claustrophic Hours (Video)

A leopard got its head stuck in a metal pot after venturing into a North Indian village.

According to NDTV, it seems the leopard was looking for a drink of water and just went a bit too deep into the pot, unable to pull its head out.

If you’re wondering why nobody in the video is helping the poor leopard out of its metal helmet, just think about it. Would you want to be the one to free him?

Luckily, it wasn’t too long before forest officials stepped in to tranquilize the animal — which they think may have wandered away from the nearby Kumbhalgarh sanctuary — and remove the pot.

“The male leopard is about three years old. He is being kept under observation,” says district forest officer of Udaipur range Kapil Sharma. “He has been checked by vets and seems to be fine.”

Sharma confirms that after observation, the leopard will be released back into the forest.

From there, it’s up to him whether he wants to be booked for birthday parties and public appearances. The leopard may want to strike while the iron is hot, though. Internet fame only lasts so long.
