Brittany Murphy’s Final movie Hits Theaters Four Years After Her Death

A trailer has finally been released for Brittany Murphy’s final movie Something Wicked, more than four years after the actress’ death.

Directed by Darin Scott, the film will premiere in Eugene, Oregon, on April 4 and receive a limited run in US cinemas from next week. There is no word as yet for any plans on a UK release.

Producer Joe Colleran said Murphy, who appeared in such films as “Clueless” and “8 Mile,” did not want to appear glamourous in the film, portraying a broken woman as she unravels.

That the film was Murphy’s final performance made the editing process difficult, he said.

“Just emotional to go through the editing process and hearing her voice and seeing her outtakes and laughing,” Colleran said. “So it’s been an emotional process just even trying to get that together.”

Shot in Eugene, moviegoers will likely recognize some of the settings used in the film.

James Ivory, the unit production manager, said filming in Eugene enhanced the mood of “Something Wicked.”

“Really tuned in with how Eugene and the surrounding area and southern Willamette Valley would texture the film and be a great pace to shoot it,” Ivory said.

“Not only these local businesses but the McKenzie River and the Sahalie Falls are in it,” Colleran said.

Brittany Murphy cause of death : the father of the Hollywood starlet has challenged the official cause amid speculation that the actress could have been poisoned.

Murphy died in December 2009 at the age of 32. The Los Angeles Coroner’s Office ruled her death accidental and attributed it to natural causes. The office cited pneumonia, noting that Murphy’s condition was compounded by severe anemia and prescription medication in her system.
