Three dead in shootings in small Alberta village, RCMP

Three people are dead after shootings 250 kilometers southeast of Edmonton near the village of Consort.

Police were dispatched to a rural home around 3:30 Friday morning and found two men with gunshot wounds.

One of the men was dead at the scene, but the other was rushed to hospital and later died.

Officers were made aware that a woman was also shot at another home in the area by one of the men who died.

However, the 44-year-old was deceased when emergency crews arrived.
Investigators say all three people were known to one another.

Both locations have been secured by police and the investigation is continuing.
