A man has died after a hit and run accident near Danforth and Donlands.
Police say the victim was sitting on a fence overlooking the parking lot across from 1033 Danforth Ave. when a vehicle struck him around 12:45 p.m. this afternoon. He had no vital signs as of 1:36 p.m.
Const. Victor Kwong said the man was “pinned” by the vehicle for a period of time. The perpetrator then took off, and was last seen headed westbound on Danforth. The victim was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital.
Kwong said police were looking for a man in his 60s. Const. David Hopkinson said a driver has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
