One person is dead and three others are hurt after a shooting in the east end.

Shots rang out outside a home on Walpole Ave near Greenwood Ave and Gerrard St E. just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

A man in his 20s was pronounced dead on scene and three other men in their 20s ended up in hospital. One of them has since been released.

Investigators say there are looking for one suspect. A description of the suspect has not been released.

Witnesses said they heard multiple gunshots Saturday night, but thought they were fireworks.

The deceased had no recent history with police but was known to them, investigators said. He did not live at the housing complex.

Police are investigating the scene and looking for a possible dropped weapon.
