Hydro worker finds body in Gatineau River near Cantley, police

Police are investigating after a body was found in the Gatineau River near Cantley Wednesday morning.

Police say a Hydro Quebec discovered the body just after 7 a.m. at a dam.

MRC des Collines police have not yet determined if it’s the body of a man or a woman, said spokesperson Martin Fournel.

Police will look at missing persons reports as part of the investigation, he said.

An autopsy has been scheduled for this week.
