Ducarme Joseph : Street gang leader killed on Montreal street

Reputed gang leader Ducarme Joseph was fatally shot in the Saint-Michel neighbourhood last night.

Around 10:15 p.m. Friday a man in his forties was found bleeding in a parking lot at St. Michel at St. Ange from multiple wounds to his upper body.

Police would only say the man is the 18th homicide victim of the year, but The Canadian Press has identified the man as Joseph, who survived an assassination attempt four years ago.

Two men died and two others were injured in the shooting, which took place outside an Old Montreal clothing store.
